If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed there’s been a recent addition to my DC life – my brother, Alex, just moved to town. He’s basically the coolest and I love living with him.
As the creator of the successful website Diehard Sport and a single guy new to the big city, a sartorial transformation was needed to usher in this next chapter.
The key to our successful quest to the Georgetown shops was speed (Alex isn’t really the “shopping for pleasure” kind of guy), honesty (“Your pants are too big. Try on these.”), and focus (no swinging by the ladies section!).
Our haul included this sweatershirt, this hooded sweatshirt, and this sweater from H&M; a sweater similar to this from Banana Republic; Levi’s 511′s, double snap shirts, and this thermal; these Creative Recreation kicks that I want in my size; and the Clark’s Original Desert Boot in brown leather.
Alex picked up The Corrections while browsing at Kramer Books a few nights before our jaunt – I’d say the novel has really inspired him to step up his game, no?
