How To Get The Fattest Lashes

howtogetthefattestlashes

Why don’t you combine this lash tutorial with some of my other makeup how to’s? Here’s how to do the “Hi, Put Money In My Tip Jar” eye, here’s how to do A Standard Five Minute Face, here’s how to wear lipstick, and finally (start planning, summer is closer than you think) how to do a Summer Proof Face.

Pick these mascaras up at your corner drugstore, or find them online: Maybelline Volum’ Express, CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume, and Maybelline Great Lash.

PS: Don’t buy brown mascara – ever! It just ain’t worth it. Choose regular black if you’re fair, and go for the blackest black if you can handle it.

Second Run: Trophy Wife

I’m currently working on some pretty significant, intense projects – so right now it feels nice to go back to the basics, when I spent every evening after work trying on clothes, making outfits, drawing my little heart out. Here’s one old favorite that originally ran over two years ago.

PS: that alligator purse is now an alligator clutch – in its old age, the handle disintegrated right off the hinges. Take care of your animals, people!

How To Wear A Jean Jacket

Every gal should own the perfect jean jacket – I found mine on sale at Urban Outfitters when I was a junior in high school, and I’ve never looked back.

That animal print belt is from J.Crew and was last seen here, the fuchsia Christian Dior skirt was a lucky find in grandma’s closet, the camo jacket is from the men’s department of GAP, the Rag & Bone chambray shirt was illustrated just like this here, the dress is a Liberty print from Target, and finally, that there is a black tee from American Apparel.

Modern Redux

I wore a J.Crew boiled wool sweater, an H&M cotton peplum top, silk trousers pilfered from Grandma’s closet (previously featured here when I wore them on a date), my all-time-dig alligator clutch, also from Grandma (seen often on this here blog), suede heels found at TJMaxx, a mirrored necklace given to me by my friend Emily (which was featured in one of my very first posts), my SEE glasses, and Revlon lipstick in Kiss Me Coral.

And speaking of Grandma – my family and I are headed to the great state of Florida to visit the old bird. I’m taking a much needed Vitamin D bath.

Overtime

I went with laces like these.

It may be said that these Bass boots are the best way to explore the archives of My Closet in Sketches. Check it:
